Mrs. Dolman's almond cake

Ingredients
- 170g caster sugar
- 170f margarine
- 3 eggs
- 85g plain flour
- 85g ground almonds
- 1 teaspoon almond essence
- a good pinch of salt
Method
- STEP 1cream and butter the sugar
- STEP 2add eggs, salt, almond essence and the the ground almonds
- STEP 3add the flour slowly
- STEP 4beat well
- STEP 5bake in a moderate oven at 150C/gas mark 2 for 45- 60 mins( this cake doesn't rise very much- and it is better if slightly under cook as it is very moist then! )
