  1. In a small saucepan, heat the soy sauce, mirin, lemon juice and sugar. Simmer for 5 mins until syrupy, then remove from the heat. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil, then cook the noodles and broccoli for about 3 mins, adding the prawns a few secs before draining. Divide the mixture between 2 plates, pour the warm teriyaki sauce over the top, sprinkle with the red chilli and serve.

I made this for two friends for dinner - so for 3 of us I used 75ml mirin, 75ml soy and 2tbsp sugar, as well of course as more prawns, noodles and broccoli. Delicious and super easy - athough, as another review says, I'd say the sauce takes more like 10 minutes to thicken. Just don't do what I did last night and get distracted by the World Cup because I came back to a rock-solid sauce, and had to start again!

We really loved this dish! Already had Teriyaki in the house so substitued the mirin, soy sauce, lemon and sugar with it. Extremely easy, delicious and healthy compared to heavier dishes.

Super easy and hassle free to make this dish. I didn't have mirin with me and substituted it with cooking sake and sugar.

the sauce turned out way to thin, I guess you need to heat the sauce for much more then 5 mins. tasted good but was a bit disappointing.
