Occasionally my younger son and I have a "seafood platter" for our meal - at least when he's home from University now, though we've done this off and on for many years. We usually have smoked salmon, herring in cream sauce (for me), prawns (either plain or in a sort of marie-rose sauce), maybe a tuna mayo (especially if older son is here too). Put that out nicely on a platter on the table, and add a bowl of salad leaves (dressed or not), a tomato salad and a cucumber salad, and some mixed mayos ( lemon, coarse mustard, tomato puree, whatever). And have plenty slices of lovely fresh breads, and maybe some oatcakes.
