Method

  1. Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water according to pack instructions.

  2. While the spaghetti is cooking, split the chillies down the centre lengthways. Using a teaspoon and starting at the top, scoop the seeds from the flesh - add these if you like your food hot. Using a sharp knife, cut the chillies in thin strips, bundle them together and cut across to make squares.

  3. Drain the spaghetti, toss with a drizzling of olive oil and set aside. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or sauté pan over a high heat and add the prawns. Stir in the chillies, season, then add the spaghetti. Remove from the heat, fold through the rocket and stir.

An almost perfect quick and easy meal - ready in minutes. I added lemon juice and lots of black pepper and grated some parmesan on top. Delicious with tinned tuna as well (I used tuna in spring water). Next time I'm going to add sunblush tomatoes and possibly some poached salmon.

Use garlic oil and be generous with the salt as I do and this is a really delicious, fresh quick and easy meal. Filling and yummy.

I loved Ralph the Dog's comment. I marinated the prawns first in garlic, chilli, lemon, juice and oil. It was lovely!

The Nigella Lawson Spaghettini with Prawns is similar to this but much much tastier.

A favourite in our house. A lovely simple dish for midweek. Well done John Torode.

This is a great recipe if your having friends round. It looks great and takes very little time. So if you get home from work late you can still be a great hostess.

I added some halved cherry tomatoes for colour and I used a scotch bonnet chilli as I like it spicy but take care and add a little at a time.

Serve lemon sorbet as desert if you need a pud at all.

Really easy to make but still very tasty! I used linguine instead of spaghetti and lots of prawns with extra chilli and rocket. I'll definitely try this again.

Delish! I added some garlic, and thinly sliced red peppers and used baby spinach as suggested instead of rocket.

I made this with fettacini instead of spag and used chilli oil to toss the pasta in. It was really tasty esp as we had about double the amount of prawns you were supposed to! Tee hee!
