Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2cm piece freshly grated ginger
  • 1 red chilli, seeded and finely chopped
  • 450g minced pork
  • 350g jar black beans sauce
  • 115g rice noodles
  • 6 spring onions, shredded

Method

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan then add the garlic cloves, grated ginger and chopped large red chilli. Cook for 1-2 minutes until softened. Add the minced pork and cook, stirring, for 4-5 minutes until browned. Stir in a jar of black bean sauce and cook for 3-4 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the rice noodles according to pack instructions. Drain and toss with the pork and shredded spring onions.

We enjoyed this. I made my own black bean sauce which was surprisingly easy and used stir fry veg and fine egg noodles

Incredibly disappointing - won't be making this recipe again. Should have realised as it's using a jar of ready made sauce - I used an expensive one but it was still a bowl of mushy meat all tasting the same. Needed more veg too for variety of texture and taste. Lots of other MUCH nicer stir fries to try on this site.

I agree about the veg. It was a nice taste but it would be better with something a bit substantial - peppers, baby corn. Without it, it is a bit mushy.

Chinese bolagnaise ;)

absolutely love this. even my kids wolfed the lot down! made enough for 4, scoffed by 3. this will become a fav weekly dish.
