great tasting version of this curry, quite simple to make once you have all the spices.

Ingredients

  • Marinade:-
  • 2 large chicken breasts.
  • 3 tbsp natural yoghurt.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice.
  • 1 tsp chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin powder.
  • 1 tsp garlic and ginger crushed.
  • Tikka Masala:-
  • 1 medium onion.
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic.
  • drizzle of oil.
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 tbsp tomato puree
  • 3 tbsp double cream.

Method

    1. cut the chicken breasts into pieces, mix together the marinade ingredients and coat the chicken, leave for as long as possible preferably overnight.
    2. Chop the onion and crush the garlic and ginger from the tikka masala ingredients. fry the onion over a medium heat until brown then add the garlic and ginger.
    3. fry for 30 seconds then add the rest of the spices from the tikka masala ingredients.
    4. stir in the tomato puree and fry for 1-2 minutes. add the marinated chicken to the pan, stir and cook for 10 -15 minutes with the lid on, over a medium heat.
    5. add the cream to the pan and gently stir for 5 minutes.
    6. serve the tikka masala with rice.

Sounds great. I much prefer a recipie with all the ingredients and not some jar of prataks etc I am looking foreward to it.
