  • 1 small tub (200g) low-fat crème fraîche
  • 300g tagliatelle


  1. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and sizzle the pancetta or bacon for about 5 mins until starting to crisp. Turn up the heat and add the grated courgette to the pan. Cook for 5 mins or until soft and starting to brown then add the garlic and cook for a minute longer. Season and set aside.

  2. Cook the tagliatelle according to the pack instructions and scoop out a cupful of cooking water. Drain the tagliatelle and tip into the frying pan with the bacon and courgette. Over a low heat toss everything together with the crème fraiche and half the Parmesan adding a splash of pasta water too if you need to loosen the sauce. Season to taste and serve twirled into bowls with the remaining Parmesan scattered over.

We loved this recipe - very quick to make and very tasty! I was quite generous with the garlic and used about 3 large cloves. What did the recipe justice was adding some nutmeg which I mixed as the tagliatelle and the mixture were getting combined. Superb!

Great recipe, I added shallots and blended them with courgettes, garlic and cream as I prefer a smooth sauce to contrast the pancetta, very tasty!

Absolutely wonderful. As suggested in the comments I added onions to my first batch but actually having tried without I don't think they add much to the dish. Really quick, really simple. I added pecorino to mine because I prefer it over Parmesan.

Truly delicious! And so easy too. The courgettes take quite a lot longer than the recipe states though.

So easy and so delicious... I add some chopped chilli with the garlic and cook some mushrooms on the side and then add them towards the end, almost becomes a carbonara but so delish.

Followed the recipe apart from substituting Philadelphia for the creme fraiche which worked really well. Quick and easy to make and loved by the whole family (even the fussy eaters). Will definitely use this recipe again.

cant fault this its really yummy and so simple to make. The only thing I changed was adding a couple of pinches of chilli flakes.

Absolutely LOVE this recipe. It's very moreish and so tastey and dead simple to make! The recipe is very flexible as well - I added mushrooms & leeks for a bit more veg! Would highly recommend :)

Loved this recipe, perfect summer lunch. Very easy whilst entertaining as well, as you don't have to fuss over it and the timings are relaxed. Although my courgette took a lot longer to crisp than the time stated.

Loved this! Cooked for the first time tonight. So easy and tastes like you've made much more effort! Our 5 year old thought it was yummy and husband loved it too. Added some french beans from the garden in the pasta saucepan and was glad it used up some of the courgettes from the garden too. I'm always on the look out for new courgette recipes in August, when we seem to have loads, and this dish is a real winner.

was quick to make, tasted good, i used spaghetti as didnt have tagliatelli, also added a handfull of chopped spinach i wanted to use up - worked great !
