Great using Cranberries .. even better with Raspberries (which don't need to be pricked as the shaking will break them up and release the juices) and could be ready sooner than stated if you shake the jar a couple of times a day. Make sure to squeeze all the Raspberries through the sieve though to get all that yummy juice!

Relating to the vodka/ cranberry, has any one tried using pure juice instead of the berries ?

Would i be able to make this now for christmas day? ive just found the recipe!.. would 10 days be long enough?

Oh, forgot to mention that I used the soaked cranberries in the "Cranberry ripple cheese-cupcakes" recipe from this website. I added a little quark to the cheesecake mixture and made a whole cake rather than single cupcakes, but it turned out perfectly.

Beautiful colour, nice taste. I would recommend using a little less sugar. I filled it into two beautiful half-litre glas bottles, and am now looking forward to handing this out as a gift this Christmas (and drinking the leftovers).

Made this 2 weeks ago, couldn't get fresh or frozen cranberries so I used dried and the result is very good, just wondering if I can use some of the cranberries with ice cream.
Having also made the limoncello I can thoroughly recommend both of these.

Absolutely delicious!! I'm not a vodka drinker but I made this to give as presents and kept some for myself as it's that good. Will make this every year for a festive tipple

The vodka was lovely, and I used the boozy cranberries in muffins and fruit cake which went down really well.

Hi, made this and it is delicious !any ideas what to do with the cranberries? seems a shame to put them in the bin

Hi, does it have to be left for 2 weeks, or would a couple of days be enough if I left the cranberries in the Vodka? I just found this recipe and I'd really like to make it for a friend for Christmas ... thanks :)

Sterilising jars I find is best done in a dishwasher or just hot soapy water, rinsed and dried in an oven for a few minutes

Hi I have used toffee jars from the newsagent, just make sure that the bottoms are not bashed or cracked at all.

Hi does anyone know if you have to use kilner jars or can you just sterilise and use any jar?
