  • 300g macaroni, or other small pasta shapes
  • 25g sundried tomato in oil, drained and roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan, grated

Parmesan is a straw-coloured hard cheese with a natural yellow rind and rich, fruity flavour. It…

  1. Boil the pasta. Meanwhile, in a small food processor, blitz together the tomatoes, crème fraîche and tomato purée into a sauce. (If you don’t have a small processor, finely chop the tomatoes, then mix everything together.)

  2. Drain the pasta, saving a little of the cooking water, then return to the pan with the tomato sauce and half the cheese. Mix together until all the pasta is coated, then serve as a side dish, sprinkled with the remaining cheese.

This was not a bad recipe. One of those nice quick meals when you haven't a lot of time to spare. I added some Chorizo to add a kick, but smoked bacon would work.

I found this to be bland. It wasn't disgusting and definitely edible but I wouldn't go out of my way to make it again.

I just tried this with whole wheat fusili, did not measure anything bit added generously sundried tomatoes, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, cheddar am mozzarella cheese, and thick double cream small size. It was very creamy but not too moist or runny just perfect no need for extra sauce, I served with lamb chops and green salad. The taste is heavenly. Perfect bank holiday treat for everyone.

Just made for my teenage sons as a quick tea served with fish fingers and salad, they loved it. I made extra sauce as comments suggested but I guess that's personal preference.

Couldnt get sundried tomatoes in oil so i used a sundried tomato paste. Great idea as it saved blitzing the sauce and still added texture with the small sundried tomato bits in the paste :)

Found it bland so i added salt, pepper and garlic seasonsing to the sauce which made it much more flavoursome. Served it with grilled cajun chicken

Nice, easy and quick to throw together after a busy day at work. Mine looked more pink than the colour shown in the recipe but tasted great which is all that matters.

I was very impressed with this. Home late from the office, supermarket already shut (Austria), nothing in the fridge, famished...this recipe just about saved my life!! Thank you Goodfood for coming up with these quick, store cupboard recipes which really don't compromise on taste. Added peas and some extra chopped up sun dried toms...delicious!

Nice recipe. I also added crispy bacon, and grilled with cheese for a few minutes. I served with green salad to make a full meal.

I really liked this - my OH loved it. Was simple to make and made a nice variation on an old theme. I added bacon to mine to make it into a full meal. Was going to add cheddar and grill afterwards but I was feeling too lazy at the time! Will definately make again and soon!

Easy and a great way to use up store cupboard and fringe odds and ends! Made a potential boring lunch of toast a lot more exciting and fulfilling!

Great recipe which the whole family loves. I add chopped bacon, then sprinkle parmesan and cheddar on top then pop it under the grill.

Very nice. I used double cream instead, and chopped up some crispy fried bacon to sprinkle on top.
