  • 125g ball mozzarella, torn into small pieces
  • 50g strong cheddar, grated

Once cheddar was 'Cheddar', a large, hard-pressed barrel of cheese made by a particular…

  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 4 skinless boneless chicken breast fillets
  • 8 smoked streaky bacon rashers

  1. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Mix the cheeses and mustard together. Cut a slit into the side of each chicken breast, then stuff with the mustard mixture. Wrap each stuffed chicken breast with 2 bacon rashers – not too tightly, but enough to hold the chicken together. Season, place on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 mins.

Really tasty and very simple to make. Took longer than 25 mins to cook though, more like 40 mins until the cooked was completely cooked through. Will defo make again :o)

I have made this a few times now - always turns out to be extremely tasty. I usually add extra bacon to make sure each chicken breast is fully wrapped in bacon, and i add more filling too. Definitely a firm favourite in our house!

This recipe was really easy to make. I love cheese and mustard so it was perfect for me. I used Boursin instead of the recommended Mozzarella as so many reviews had suggested it. My boyfriend was extremely impressed with the dish. I served with green beans and mashed potato. The chicken was very moist as well.

Love this and passed on to my mum who also loves it

Made this tonight for my family and it was perfect. I used dijon mustard as didn't have any wholegrain and still tasted fab. I used half the quantities of cheese as family don't like cheese but I would increase this to the full amount next time as like others have said it doesn't taste cheesy at all.

Cooked this for my family tonight and we all really enjoyed it, even my fussy 4 year old. Would highly recommend.

This is a great recipe. I used chicken thighs because I prefer dark meat, and added some cream cheese to the mozzarella stuffing. I roasted some mushrooms with it, then used the roasting juices to make a white wine, cream and mushroom sauce. Served with new potatoes, green beans and sprouts. Absolutely delicious.

Great dish to impress dinner guests with as it looks much more complicated than it is. And it's tasty, too :-)

This has become a firm favourite for me and my husband! Usually use garlic and herb Philly mixed with whole grain mustard but tonight for a change used black pepper Boursin as we had some in the fridge and it was a very tasty change. Definitely cook this dish, it's very easy. I serve it with new potatoes and sweet corn

Just made it, fab! I used Boursain instead of Mozzarella and it was fab. Didn't find the mustard overpowering at all, I used back bacon instead of streaky.

Made this for 2 during the week, was easy to cut it down from a 4 serving recipe, very tasty, the cheese made it feel a lot naughtier than it was, served it with steamed veg and roasted new potatoes - will be doing this again

yes its true, this is a great recipe, I served it with brocolli and the suggested potato dish and it was wonderful. This is the 1st time I've stuffed a chicken breast and I think my stuffing could have been better because it didn't stay together but it was still a wonderful recipe. quick and effortless.

This is so yummy! Have made it a few times for the family, and am having a dinner party tonight and am considering using half mozarella and half boursin with a little cheddar. used cheddar and boursin before and it was lovely, thinking mozarella may give itt a little more texture? will see!

Going to serve with roasted new potatoes, green beans and courgettes.

Delicious and easy!

My 11 year old daughter made this for a food technology project and it has now become a regular favourite in our house. Absolutely yummy!

Quick, easy and yummy

I tend to add 1 tea spoon of wholegrain mustard and 1 English mustard which gives a nice bit of warmth to the dish.

Easy, tasty, great dish for entertaining! Served it with baby carrots and asparagus on a bed of (own recipe for) Mediterranean couscous. Yum!! Had lots of compliments for it, and it was a doddle to make!!
