Forgot to "slash" the chicken drumsticks but the of the marinade was good and strong despite using half x light soy sauce and half x soy sauce.

Found it too watery and also had to grill the chicken to get it to brown and then reduced the marinade in a saucepan to get it stickier.

Super yummy when I used tomato purée with chilli. Easy to make and quite satisfying.

Disappointed by my first attempt following the recipe, as some other posters have said- it is lacking in flavour. It was also too oily for me! I will try some of the other suggestions, it definitely needs something like chilli to give it a kick. I used wholegrain mustard which has a nice texture. Needs improvement...

I made these for a buffet and all the guests enjoyed them very much.
You do have to keep a close watch on them while in the oven as they do burn easily! I would definitely make them again as they are quite tasty!

This is a great recipe - very tasty and simple to make. The whole family loved it and the drumsticks were just as tasty cold the next day.
Will make again.

doubled the marinade quantity and left them overnight. Didn't look cooked after specified time so put them under the grill for a few mins basting them repeatedly with the sauce - this made the sauce much stickier and they ended up looking a lot more like the picture in the recipe.

Very tasty and easy. I had chicken breasts and diced them up and marinaded them in the sauce for a few hours then cooked them with the marinade in the oven and served with Chinese noodles. The family loved them.

Decent recipe

I doubled up on some of the ingredients

4 tsp soya sauce
2 tsp Honey

I also used less olive oil 1/2 tsp

(had plenty to marinade and baste with)

I also added

1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ginger powder
A few drops of hot pepper sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

If I wanted to make them sweet I can use brown sugar or more honey and exclude the pepper

Overall pleased with the outcome, a very simple recipe which you can alter to your taste

These were delicious. I doubled the recipe and used for 9 drumsticks plus a few mini fillets for the children. This meant that there was quite a lot of (runny) sauce in the bottom of the dish once cooked, which I then poured over the egg noodles and stir-fried vegetables that I served with the chicken. Perfect and delicious, and of course dead easy. Definitely making again.

Would advise tasting as you mix and tweaking the basic ingredients-am i the only one whose mouth was on fire with a tablespoon of Dijon!!!!!? Found it to be too oily and watery with only a teaspoon of tomato puree......swop the two quantities around however and you're getting somewhere........ (i did wonder if it was a mistake?) try a bit of extra soy sauce if too sweet. The second time i made it i added a teaspoon of garlic granules and mmmmmmmmm.............
