This cake is amazing! I followed the recipe almost exactly, I used dark chocolate because I didn't want it to be too sweet and then swapped one tbsp on cocoa for one of drinking chocolate. The cake was perfect, gooey/fudgey in the middle and crunchy on the outside. A definite favourite!

A brilliant recipe, really easy to make and almost fool proof. The kids love it. I baked it for about 40 minutes and as I have a fan oven put the temp to about 150, it came out just right, crispy on the outside and still a bit gooey on the inside.

I don't know what I did wrong but my cake remained very flat and although it tasted nice it was extremely chewy and a bit too sweet for my teeth! I am disappointed by this recipe...

Heaven! I baked it in a loaf tin and cooked it for a bit longer as it was a deeper cake but it tasted FABULOUS particularly with double cream.

Delicious, moist and slightly crunchy on the outside. Like previous comments mine sunk toward the end but that didn't make any difference to the taste. Served with M&S Madagascan vanilla cream, absolutely divine, next time will try with hot custard. This will definitely be one to make on a regular basis.

Very nice recipe. The cake turned out very well and was delicious with a bit of cream on the side. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 is because it's very sickly and just a small piece was definitely enough!

This is lovely. I made it gluten free by using gluten free flour, gluten free chocolate and gluten free baking powder and turned out perfect. Really tasty. Served with double cream. Will make this again and again so easy!!!!

Out of the oven for 30 minutes and already a large slice has gone! Son says its the gooeyist (is that a word?) brownie he has ever had. Cooked for 30 minutes in the oven and left to stand for 20 minutes as recipe states, when I turned out it almost fell apart but I think that just adds to its appearance. Will be dressing it up later dusted with some vanilla bean icing sugar and some whipped cream and cherries soaked in ameretto for an adult pudding ; ) Will definately cook again

Crunchy around the rim, a bit gooey in the middle. Don't let the name "cake" fool you - this is a gigantic brownie. Very chocolatey. Very yummy. A very guilty treat.

This recipe I have not tried but many people are raving about it on here:) I am doing a food technology lesson next week and I want to know if I could make it in 2 hours, including making and oven and cooling time? A response would be great:)
