  • 500g sweet potatoes, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, bashed
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds, toasted
  • 25g butter

Method

  1. Put the carrots, sweet potatoes and garlic in a large pan of salted water, bring to the boil, then cook for 12 mins. Add cumin seeds, butter and seasoning, roughly mash, then serve immediately.

A great alternative to mash. We had this with steak pies to try and make the meal a bit heathier and it was lovely! The cumin seeds really make this dish. So easy too.
