Method

  • step 1

    To serve, heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok, add the lardons and fry for a minute. Tip in the cabbage and onions, stir round the pan then pour over 2 tbsp water and the reserved duck marinade. Pile the rice and peas on top then cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes. Take off the lid, toss well and serve.

Made this wth the duck. Added mushrooms. Amazing rice dish. Will make plenty more times. Quick and easy to make. Have eaten it by it's self yummy.

I love this recipe. I would never use microwave rice for anything else, but it really works here. This is a huge hit in my house and goes perfectly with the hoisin duck. It also works fine with no cabbage.
