Blue cheese gnocchi

Creamy and soothing, this warming bake makes a great standby for friends and family

Method

  1. Cook the gnocchi in a large pan of boiling water according to pack instructions. Plunge the spinach into the same pan, then immediately drain through a colander and shake off any excess water.
  2. Put the crème fraîche in a small ovenproof dish with the grated parmesan. Add the hot, drained gnocchi and spinach and give everything a good stir. Crumble the blue cheese over and season with ground pepper.
  3. Slide the dish under a hot grill until the cheese is bubbling and golden. Serve immediately.

    Mmmm yummy, next time will use nutmeg and garlic...even without its a dish that is greater than the sum of its parts...Main bonus it was done in 10 mins

    I don't like blue cheese so changed it to Feta and added some ricotta I had in the fridge.Excellent mid week meal-easy, fast and yummy!

    Maximum flavour from such simplicity of method. Really delicious. I added some peas because I didn't have enough spinach and they worked well, but really I think that it's best to make this dish as written. Yummy stuff,
