Twelve Recipes of Christmas

This festive season, Sainsbury’s and Comic Relief are teaming up to help more people access the joy of good food and celebrate the powerful memories it creates

Christmas is a time when families cook, eat and come together – yet for more than 14 million people in the UK experiencing food insecurity (Trussell, 2025), those joyful festive moments may be out of reach.

Through its Meals Make Memories campaign, Sainsbury’s is sharing twelve delicious recipes and treasured food memories from six community heroes tackling food poverty across the UK. Through shining a light on these brilliant people and their stories, Sainsbury's is spotlighting the incredible work of food redistribution charities in the run-up to Christmas.

All six contributors are deeply involved with food redistribution organisations such as FareShare and City Harvest, which Sainsbury’s and Comic Relief are proudly supporting this Christmas to help donate over five million meals to those who need them most.
