Melt Chocolates is a family owned chocolate company based in London's Notting Hill, producing a wide selection of chic, colourfully wrapped bars (everything from toast and marmalade to popcorn flavoured bars) alongside fresh chocolates, hot chocolates and other treats – we especially love their chocolate coated orangettes.

What is Club Melt?

Club Melt is the chocolate subscription offering from Melt Chocolates. There are several subscription options to choose from – decide if you want a monthly trio of bars, a box of fresh chocolates or a combination of both (bars and fresh alternating each month), for £19.99 a month. There’s also a vegan chocolate option and a mini bar subscription for £9.99 a month.

What is in the Club Melt subscription?

The trio of bars subscription provides a selection of their rainbow packaged bars to try each month. Packaging is plastic-free (and electric vans are used for local deliveries) with each 90g bar arriving in a different rainbow coloured cardboard pouch with brief tasting notes printed on the back and chocolate wrapped in paper inside. The chunky 90g bars are embossed with the Melt logo.

Our selection of bars included sea salt milk chocolate, sure to be popular with any salted caramel fans. The classic bar of 35% single origin milk was a great way to be introduced to the collection – described as ‘pure bliss’ on the packaging, this single origin bar from Papua New Guinea was rich, creamy and melt in the mouth.

If you opt for the fresh subscription (or the combination), a sleek box of approximately 10 different chocolate truffles tied with a ribbon will be delivered to your door. The flavours were complex and grown-up: from a dark salted square to nutty sesame and tahini truffle. All had simple and chic decoration. Whilst the fun bars are our favourite (and the rainbow packaging makes them perfect for gifts), the fresh chocolates are equally high-quality and decadent to enjoy, a welcome letterbox delivery.
