  1. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Squeeze the sausagemeat from the skins into a large bowl. Then, using your hands, roll the meat into meatballs, getting about three from each sausage. Place on a roasting tray, then cook for 10-12 mins until golden and cooked through. Can be made up to a day ahead. Reheat in the oven for 5 mins until piping hot.

  2. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to pack instructions. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey and orangejuice. (If you want to get ahead, boil the noodles, cool under cold water, drain, toss with a little oil, then set aside until needed).

  3. Heat a large non-stick wok or frying pan and add the oil. Add the garlic, ginger and chilli then fry for 1 min. Add the carrot and peppers, stir-fry for 3 mins, then add the sugar snaps and spring onions for the final min of cooking.

  4. Drain the noodles, then add to the vegetables, along with the soy sauce mixture. Toss well, season, then scatter with the sesame seeds. Serve in warm bowls and top with the sausage meatballs.

Just made this, it was really nice! I used a packet of stir fry veg instead as I needed to use it up and added some brocolli. Great tasty recipe for using stuff up in your fridge!

Great meal easy to follow, but now i have made this next time I may change a few things. Next time No sausage we didn't like very it in felt it spoilt the recepie. Try find something else unless you really love sausages! Fresh peas on top and add some mini sweetcorn. This would be great for students. They are asking for this again so it went down well.

This went down a treat. Used sausages instead of meatballs, left the rest as per recipe. Have had requests for repeat performance asap!

I just chopped the sausages up after cooking them whole - too messy to make meatballs! It was lovely and enjoyed by my toddler too.

Love this recipe! I made a few changes, just used a tube of ginger instead of the real thing and used green peppers. The consistency was fab, could really taste the orange and honey but without it being over powering, it was just right! I wouldn't have thought it before I made it but it felt like real comfort food with the sausages. Definitely will be making this again, its cheap too which is always a bonus!

I was pleased to find this recipe as I'm always on the look out for interesting things to do with a sausage! The grown-ups enjoyed it but it did not go down well with my kids, plus friends, even though I left the chili out.

we really enjoyed this! it was an interesting way of using up some sausages and tasted great. i'll definitely give this one another go. my only complaint is that it was a little too hot for my taste so i would use less chilli next time.
