Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts (around 500g), halved lengthways
50g Bisto Best Chicken Gravy
4 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, halved and finely sliced
1 leek, halved and finely sliced
2 garlic cloves, grated
5 tbsp Bisto White Sauce Mix
handful of parsley, finely chopped
mash, steamed broccoli and bacon bits, to serve
Method
1 Toss the chicken with the Bisto Best Chicken Gravy granules until fully coated. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the chicken for 6-8 mins on each side until golden and cooked through, then transfer to a plate.
2 In the same pan, fry the onion and leek for 10 mins until softened. Add the garlic, Bisto White Sauce mix and 400ml of just-boiled water and simmer for 3 mins until thickened. Season to taste.
3 Mix the chicken into the sauce, then put a lid on the pan and leave to cook for another 5 mins.
4 Sprinkle the parsley over the top and serve with mash, broccoli and a sprinkling of bacon bits.
