"Really tasty easy cake! I didnt do the toppings, instead i added 1 orange juice to the cake mix and then poured over the rest like a drizzle cake with some sugar once it had come out of the oven. I used 200g butter in the mix- unlike the 225g suggested in the recipe as i thought the extra 25g might make it a little heavy. Very light.. nice change to a sponge!"

"Looks very tasty- but surely this is cottage pie seeing that its made with beef? Shepards pie is with lamb.... "

"Lovely soft fruit cake- boyfriend approved which is the most important thing! I spinkled demarara over the top rather than the sugar cubes which i think worked well. I made double the quantity for 2 cakes, which was a little hard to mix, but that was my own mistake!! Needed slightly longer in my oven, but thats normal. I think I would make again!"

"Made last night. Very easy, nice and light. Used 100g of golden caster sug and the rest normal. Boyfriend had 3 slices in a row and Mum had 2 proclaiming 'It's the best cake you've ever made mMmmMm' and trust me, I've made lots of cakes! I will be making two next time!!"

"Very Tasty and very easy, but I thought it was a little bit watery. Could have done with only 400-500ml water (i put approx 600ml as suggested by some). But even so, it went down well with Mum and Boyfriend with vegetable curry on top! I would make again."
