Method

  1. Mix the crème fraîche with the horseradish and a little salt and pepper. For the dressing, whisk the lime juice and zest with the honey, ginger and seasoning, then whisk in the oil. Lay the smoked salmon and prawns on 2 plates, then top with a dollop of the horseradish cream. Toss the salad in most of the dressing and pile on top. Drizzle the remaining dressing around the plate and serve.

This went down a storm at a dinner party for 10. I made mine in individual ramekins, which made all 10 a lot easier to refrigerate before hand. The dressing was added just before serving. Delicious. There was also a lot of lime dressing left over at the end, which tastes good added to stir fry's!

Great starter, easily assembled and adapted for larger numbers. Both the horseradish cream and vinigrette were outstanding. For me a real top drawer starter, and yet incredably easy.

Brilliant! Tasty, quick and easy to prepare ahead of time. Everyone loved it. Horseradish in creme fraiche was really lovely - will definitely be using that in other recipes as well.

Lovely recipe,fresh,light and wonderful flavour with the dressing.......keep the dressing in the fridge for a couple of days if you make a larger quantity!
