  Angela Nilsen is a genius! No need to make other chocolate chip cookies now, these are lovely, I've made a few batches now and everyone loves them. I usually have all the ingredients to hand as well, so they are great to whip up when you have a few minutes spare.

  Not overly impressed with this recipe. The coffee and dark chocolate made these cookies too bitter. Easy to make but the dough did not become firm after resting and I couldn't roll into balls. Next time i'll try another recipe.

  Found these really easy to make. Couldn't taste coffee in them (must depend on which type is used) so the children loved them. Dough was little bit sticky to roll but floured hand work well.

  These were a big hit!! Very easy to make,even when assisted by my 4 year old daughter! Was worried the mixture would be too sticky to handle,but was pleasantly surprised-they handled easily. I too couldn't taste the coffee. Will definitely be making these again-i don't feel too naughty having a treat and great for the kids lunch boxes!!

  These have been a big hit in our house. If you want to make them less bitter you could use chocolate buttons or smarties to decorate instead of the additional dark chocolate. They are brilliant if you're WeightWatching because they only work out as 2 points per cookie!

  Have made these twice for different occasions (afternoon tea and a sporting event) and they went down well. Found mix too sticky to handle even after resting, but spoonfulls seem to work just as well.

  Tasty cookies but far too sticky to roll into balls even after a spell in the freezer. Using a spoon resulted in wonky but still scrummy cookies.

  Unfortunatly, I only got 12 little cookies out of my mix. The cookies were very good, but there wern't enough.

  Irrelevant but after this being about the 4th recipe I've looked at with the same weight of choc, what exactly are we supposed to do with the extra 15g leftover from the bar? As I dont want to end up eating it, defeats the object of making lower fat cookies, I'll just add it to the top of these. Same with ult choc mousse, I ended up just adding it to the mix.

  These are excellent. I will be making them again. I had no problem at all shaping the cookies. The mixture firmed up nicely after just 10 min in a cold porch. I need to practice getting them smaller though. I only got 18 so they were a little more calorific!

  these were so easy to make, was a bit worried about stickiness comments below, but we had no problems. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely make again . Kids loved them and didn't realise that they were "light"!

  I'm hit or miss when it comes to baking biscuits and cookies, I sometimes turn fine ingredients into inedible mounds of manure with the consistency of concrete - These however, turned out lovely, am very happy with the recipe, t'would seem it's rather foolproof :-)

  Really easy to make! And they came out looking like the picture! Only two faults and they were both my own! Firstly, I didn't press them down flat enough so they are still quite round and thick. And secondly, I used 83% dark chocolate and it's just a bit too bitter! Therefore, I think WHEN I make them again I will use a less percentage of cocoa. Really tasty and really easy though! Will definitely be making them again and may even try wrapping them up and giving them away as gifts!

  Probably the best biscuits I've ever made, and I'm a regular biscuit maker - my young daughter and I usually whip up a batch on Monday afternoons together. Gorgeously light texture, slightly crispy yet soft in the middle, and not too much sugar so not as cloying as traditional cookie recipes. You wouldn't know there was coffee in there but it does add a little something subtle to the flavour. Absolutely superb!

  I volunteered to do cookies for my daughter's class party tomorrow and decided to try this recipe. I was a little concerned when I read someone only got 12 cookies from the recipe, so I doubled up the ingredients (except for the coffee) and ended up with way over 50 light and crispy biscuits! Worried that they might be a little too bitter for 5-6 yos, I used 100g of chocolate with 40% milk solids and a wee bar that I had on hand, about 24g, of dark chocolate. The mixture was worryingly "wet", but firmed up a treat, and I used a teaspoon to scoop up a portion before I rolled it up with damp hands. My daughter and I decorated the cookies with M&Ms and sprinkles. Not sure how they'll go down with the rest of the kids, but my daughter declared them "the best biscuits I've ever had!".

  I didn't have any vanilla essence, so I used orange. Also they were quite sticky so I spooned them on the tray, I didn't use my hands. All in all they are great!
