  This recipe is great, so quick when you want something in the cake tin and havn't got much time. made it as a loaf and also made it in sandwich tins , put togrther with butter cream.just as good with or without walnuts.very handy addition.

  Mine came out like a house brick! Did it just as the recipe said, tasted ok but just really heavy and stodgy, wont make this again.

  LOVE this recipe to death - can't make enough of it. First question I am asked when anyone comes round is "Have you got any banana cake"? I used butter instead of margarine and added walnuts for that extra zest.

  Second time i've made this now and again it's turned out delicious. It's a great hit with the whole family and so easy to do. I didn't use a food processor as I haven't got one - just mixed it by hand. The recipe doesn't state what size tin to use. I used a 2lb loaf tin. It's a little flat but I think the 1lb one would be too small. Fantastic recipe.

  I found this recipe using Google even though I use Good Food website alot. When I type in banana cake in this Good Food website this recipe doesn't come up. Is there a reason why?? Is it because it is a member recipe?? If so, how do you find member recipes then?? Thank you

  a nice cake, we added chocolate chips, made in two sandwich tins and added buttercream for a nice twist to the recipe.

  i followed this recipe to the letter twice and both times it came out heavy and stodgy.wanted something quick and easy to do...turned into a disaster. love the lemon drizzle cake though...and ready to try the carrot cakes.

  Mmmmm! Made this with soya butter and a bit of soya milk (as i didn't have enough butter!) still lovely. Also find my oven is very hot so cooked it on gas mark 2 for 45 mins

  DELICIOUS AND LIGHT WITH SLIGHTLY CHEWY/CRUNCHY OUTSIDE! I made this with 10 mins to spare. Literally threw everything in and whisked all ingredients (not in a food processor). Stirred in some chopped walnuts at the end. Used butter and brown sugar, not white. Husband's a chef, and a picky one at that, and said I could open a coffee shop with it - A REAL HIT!

  This is so quick and easy. I used good salted welsh butter instead of marg which makes it more luxurious. Also I added couple of ounces of dessicated coconut to recent attempt - good texture. Thanks for the recipe.

  This was gorgeous, and so easy. We had it fresh as a cake, and also had it warmed with custard - very yummy. Will add some walnuts next time for an extra texture!
