  • 2 tbsp curry paste (we used Patak's Origional Balti curry paste)
  • 1 onion, finely sliced

Onions are endlessly versatile and an essential ingredient in countless recipes. Native to Asia…

  • 200g large raw or cooked prawn, defrosted if frozen

There are thousands of different species of prawn, but tiger, king and North Atlantic are the…

  • 400g can chopped tomato with garlic
  • large bunch coriander, leaves and stalks chopped

  1. Drizzle some oil from the curry paste jar into a wok or large frying pan, gently heat, then add the onion. Sizzle over a low heat for 4 mins until the onion softens, then stir in the paste and cook for a few mins longer. Stir in the prawns and tomatoes, then bring to a simmer. If using raw prawns, simmer until they have changed colour and are cooked through. Season, if you like, then add the coriander just before serving with boiled rice and naan bread.

Yum! Made with half a jar of M&S Massaman curry paste, raw frozen prawns and some fresh chilli. Don't think we'll be needing to visit the local indian takeaway ever again!

Very quick and easy, tasted great, low in calories, perfect for a midweek meal. We used tikka paste and added some frozen peas. Made plenty, probably enough for three adults if serving with rice. Will definitely make again.

Great, quick and very easy. I used curry powder instead of curry paste and added green chillis, garlic cloves and spinach. The outcome was excellent!

Delicious! I used tikka paste and added 2 cloves of garlic as I only had plain chopped tomatoes. Will be making again :)

This tasted delicious and was really pleased how little time it took to cook. My partner & I are dieting (calorie counting) at the moment so this recipe was great for that as it's low in calories.

Really easy and quite rich for what it is. Not to hot either. It tastes lovely, I will definitely be using this recipe again! (It's only 2 syns per serving for people following slimming world diet)

Followed the recipe exactly. It tasted nothing like a curry! All I could taste were tomatoes. And I overcooked my prawns. They were like pieces of rubber :( Disaster!

This recipe was very quick and easy to make (start to finish 15mins). Major plus. The compromise was in the flavour (not very interesting). Might make it again if pushed for time but I'm sure there are tastier, quick options out there.

Absolutely delicious and so easy to make. Doubled up the quantity and used rogan josh curry paste as I didn't have any balti.

Will definitely be making again. So yummy!!!

Fantastic low-fat, quick and easy mid week dinner. This is becoming a firm favourite in our house. I am currently following a slimming plan and this easy but tasty curry fits in nicely and I am still seeing the results I want on the scales. I use chicken instead of prawns and add in a tablespoon of dried chilli flakes for that extra kick and 2 cloves of garlic. Served with basmati rice and garlic naan bread. Very nice indeed.

Tasty, easy mid week supper - have made with chicken too - just browned with the onion.

A great recipe when time is short .I added some red sliced peppers from a jar and a small handful of frozen peas at the end of the cooking , making the meal more substantial I used large cooked frozen prawns which worked well .Will make again.
