  • 85g white chocolate, chips or chopped into chunks

  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Line 1-2 baking sheets with baking parchment. Mix the sugars and butter together with a wooden spoon, then add the egg, vanilla, flour and half the melted milk chocolate and mix together. Stir in the white and plain chocolate chips or chunks, then use an ice-cream scoop or round tablespoon (like a measuring spoon) to scoop out balls of cookie dough and drop them straight onto the trays.

  2. Bake in batches for 8-9 mins until pale golden and still soft to touch – they will firm up as they cool. Carefully transfer to a wire rack as soon as they can be lifted up, then drizzle with the remaining melted chocolate.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate…these triple chocolate cookies taste so heavenly they must be sinful! I've made these Triple Chocolate Cookies twice now and they are delicious! Both times they were a valentines baking for fun together session and they are just so easy! Pictures of how they turned out are on my blog here:

Just made these today and they tasted so rich. I, personally, think it's too much chocolate, for a person who's been dieting and wants to treat themselves. For my fatty partner, it's great. I gave them to him nice and warm with cold milk. I think, for a chocoholic, it would taste prefect hot, with a scoop of ben and jerrys and cold milk, maybe chocolate milk. Idk, that's how I wanted to give it to my partner but he would spoil his dinner.

Definitely will be making these sugar rush cookies for halloween with spooky decorations.

Just made these today!! OMG! Substituted the choc chunks with 170g of chopped up Toblerone and added 1/2 tsp of bicarbonate as per another suggestion. I also added all the melted choc to the dough as per suggestion by another reviewer. First batch I made them a wee bit too small as they came out thin and crunchy so second and third batches I used the ice cream scoop as suggested for portion size and they came out perfect! Super sweet and chewy...delish! They will be accompanying me to my very own Hen party this weekend with close girl friends to Wales...not sure they'll last the journey however!!!

Wow these were so yummy, made them as a little anniversary gift for my boyfriend but he only got half them because I couldn't stop eating them all. I only had Demerara sugar and it worked really well, they reminded me of Pizza Hut cookie dough!!

Excellent recipe made with my 7 year old daughter but she could have easily done on her own, may try reducing the sugar content next time and try adding nuts etc. Overall very good cookie recipe which I will definitely be using again. 8 mins in fan assisted oven is sufficient.

A really easy recipe that can be varied according to what you have in or what you fancy. Today I added 85g of chopped walnuts instead of the chocolate chips and they are lovely - you could of course add the nuts and chocolate chips! I also added all of the melted chocolate to the mix as I find this gives a better consistency. You could drizzle extra on top but I don't think it needs it. Putting the baking trays in the fridge for 15 - 20 minutes before baking helps to prevent them from spreading giving a perfect shape and thickness although you may need to add a couple of minutes extra cooking time.

Nice but intensely sweet and not quite enough depth of chocolate flavour. I would add some cocoa or use melted dark chocolate in the base and reduced the sugar by around a third

Make these regularly, this week my daughters aged 8 & 10 made them unaided. However we don't add melted chocolate but chop chocolate into chunks and add them, delicious. Today made using basic dough and added smarties halfway through cooking (so they don't burn). All ready to eat whilst watching Dr Who finale - double treat.

FAB.... made these with my 3 year old - didnt put in plain choc as only had white so used all white choc chips. Also i put all the melted choc in the mix rather than half as stated as the mixture seeed really dry. Also added the 1/2 tsp bicarb as someone else had suggested and they turned out amaxing. Very sweet but thats ok with me!

I love these cookies! They taste stunning, are fast and always go down a treat when ever I need to bake something for people without hours of preparation. I highly, 100% recommend these to anybody who's a chocoholic or just genuinely wants to bake amazing cookies!!!

Just cooked these and I understand what people mean by them being so sweet but clearly if you wanted something sweet then this is the sugar hit for you! These cookies turned out fantastic. After reading the comments before I was slightly put off especially as I'm not the most confident baker but they turned out great! I took up on someones advice of putting in some baking powder. Yummers!

made these as a study snack - substituted 80g hazelnuts for plain chocolate and added melted dark choc for the choc drizzle. absolutely scrummy, needless to say there were none left by the morning!

A bit too gloopy, they all melted in together and formed one giant square "cookie". Very sweet and not as tasty as I was expecting.

I accidentally added all of the melted milk chocolate rather than half, and they were IMMENSE. Have made them a few times since and always add all of the melted chocolate. Once I half baked them and served with ice cream. Words can't describe the pleasure

Do these turn out gooey or crisp? I'm desperately trying to recreate M&S's bakery cookies and most recipes I try end up with hard biscuits instead of soft gooey scrumptious cookies.
