  • 15 digestive biscuits
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • 400g curd or cream cheese
  • grated zest 3 oranges, save the segments for the decoration
  • 200g mascarpone cheese
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 184ml pot double cream

Method

  1. Crush the biscuits roughly. You can either do this by putting them in a plastic food bag and crushing them with a wooden spoon or you can crumble them with your fingers.
  2. Put the biscuits into a bowl and mix in the melted butter. Put the mixture into a 23cm cheesecake tin and, using your fingers or the back of a spoon to spread it evenly, press it down in the tin to form the base. Put the tin into the fridge to set. This should take about 30 mins.
  3. Put the curd or cream cheese, orange zest, mascarpone, sugar and milk into a bowl and mix it well with the wooden spoon.
  4. Put the cream in a clean bowl and whisk until it is the consistency of thick custard. Add to the orange mixture and mix thoroughly.
  5. Remove the cheesecake tin from the fridge. Pour the filling over the biscuit base and spread evenly. Decorate with segments of orange and return to the fridge until ready to serve (at least 4 hours or overnight).

i found this cheesecake very easy to make, everything came together amazingly!!! also extreamly tasty so did the rest of my family :)

Very easy and very tasty. I used cream fresh instead of mascrapone, and plain chocolate digestives for the base. I substituted orange juice for the milk and stirred in chunks of flake at the end, decorating it with orange segments and flake for a choc orange cheesecake and it was gorgeous

Also may I add that I made the base with Cadbury Chocolate Shortcakes. Very good indeed! Hobnobs work well too.

I make alot of cheesecake's (my son adores them) & have tried all different ways of making them. I love this recipe but changed a few things. So easy to make

Made this last week when friends were coming round for dinner. It was so easy to make and everybody loved it! They are all begging me to make another one this weekend so i will try it using chocolate digestives this time or maybe use lemon instead of orange!

Great easy recipe. I decorated mine with raspberries instead of oranges just as a personal preference. When mixing the cream chese, mascapone, sugar and milk together there were a few lumps, but I managed to smooth these out with a very quick whisk with the electric hand whisker, which I was already using to whisk the double cream. Will definitely make again!

I am just getting in to cooking and found this very easy to make, and it is very delicious instead of the milk i added juice from the oranges

I made this on Friday, turned out really nice. Even my mother who doesn't like cheesecake liked it! Tried to segment an orange, but just got into a sticky mess, so used tinned mandarin segments instead.

This went down a tret with my cheesecake loving friends. It was also really easy to make. I used chocolate digestives for the base which was a nice twist on the recipe.

I left my daughter to make this one. She is 13 and able to follow a recipe on her own, but not the most competent cook in the world.
She found the recipe frustrating as she had no idea how to measure 6 tbsp butter. In the end she melted a half a pack of butter and measured 6 tbsp using a measuring spoon. This wasn't nearly enough butter so she added the rest of the stuff that she had melted - a bit hit and miss and I expect better from Good Food recipes, especially those flagged up as ideal for children. She was also frustated that the recipe didn't state the size of tin that she should use. I have a wide variety of tins so again it was a bit hit and miss. Okay for experienced cooks but not ideal for a beginner.
The end result was delicious.

I have made similar recipe but chocolate rum n raisin. Substituted 50mls of cream for 75grms chocolate (good quality,B&G is great),used full fat cream cheese-so naughty-but worth the sin. Soaked a handful of raisins in rum,longer you leave the more the taste,and added to mixture.
Think i'll try this recipe but soak some orange in cointreau-sorry kids-

My son chose this to make at school. He substituted chocolate for the butter to bind the digestives. It was so gorgeous we almost couldn't wait for it to set. He wants to make a lemon one this week.

Wow, forget the kids (sorry kids) this one is for the grown ups, the way to a Man's heart is to present him with this cheesecake. My husband loves Cheesecake and we've tried them all, some good, some not so, this is easily the best so far.

Extremely easy and straight forward to make. Made this for the first time added the juice of the orange as oppossed to the milk and it was lovely, very refreshing. I decorated the top with the orange segments as well as curls of dark chocolate which tasted divine.
