  1. Heat oven to 220C/fan 200C/gas 7. Put the fish onto a non-stick baking sheet and season all over. Mix the dill and soft cheese in a small bowl, then stir in the prawns, taking care not to break them up. Season with black pepper, then spread evenly over the fish.

  2. Brush the filo sheets with the oil, then cut into thick strips. Scrunch the pastry up a little and crumple on top of the fish. Scatter with parmesan, then bake for 10 mins until the fish is cooked through and the pastry is crisp and golden. (If you’ve used raw prawns, check they’re cooked through.) Serve with green beans or a salad with your choice of potatoes.

This is lovely, will make again with the Mediterranean version. We used Philadelphia Light garlic and herb soft cheese and it was really nice, everything went well together.

A really quick and delicious dinner. I used garlic & herb soft cheese as not a fan of dill & this substitute was really tasty! Served with baby potatoes & salad so all ready in 20mins.

A lovely simple fish dish. Have made it several times and it always turns out well. Much lighter than a traditional pie and far quicker to make.

It looked fantastic on the plate, but none of my family members, including myslf liked the cream cheese - found it to be sour and dominate the flavour of a great bit of fish. Would do again but mix up an alternative cheese sauce.

Made the mediterranean version of this, with homemade white wine tomato sauce, cod fillets, king prawns and black olives. It was absolutely delicious!!

Highly recommended, and great for using up any leftover filo sheets!

If you love the simplicity of fish, you'll love this.I thought it was delicious. Although we did change the recipe quite a bit-used breadcrumbs instead of filo pastry as mentioned by someone else, and used mascarpone as we had some in the fridge. And used a 8 tiger prawns chopped up because I prefer them, and tesco had a deal on from the fish counter!

Served with roasted vegetables, yummy.

My husband and I have started the New Year with a healthy eating boost. We had the fish pie fillets instead of our usual Friday night Fish & Chips and thoroughly enjoyed them . The filo pastry had a lovely crisp crunch and the rest of the dish had alot of flavour . Recommened & easy to prepare x
