Method
- Tip the peas and potatoes into a large saucepan, then pour in the stock. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 mins, until the potato chunks are tender. Meanwhile, grill the fish fingers as per pack instructions until cooked through and golden. Cut into bitesize cubes and keep warm.
- Take a third of the peas and potatoes out of the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside. Blend the rest of the soup until smooth, then stir in the pesto with the reserved vegetables. Heat through and serve in warm bowls with the fish finger croûtons on top.

Made this last night, and was very happy with it! I did have to add some spices myself, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, onion powder and a splash of Worcestershire sauce, but it turned out very nice!
I posted it up on my food blog :)

This soup is really quick and so easy to make. I did enjoy it and think the fishfingers really make it, but I found it a little too thick for my liking and also think the pesto was a bit overpowering - maybe I put a bit too much in.
It was nice to try a new recipe but I probably wouldn't make it again.
I don't really see what all the fuss is about. This soup tastes fine and is fairly comforting but isn't really something to write home about. The fish finger croutons were interesting in the sense that I'd never had them before but also kind of weird. I made this mostly out of curiosity because of all the rave reviews and probably won't make it again.
