  • 24 chipolata
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp cranberry sauce

  • ½ tbsp ground ginger


  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Place the chipolatas in a roasting tin with vegetable oil and cook for 15 mins. Mix cranberry sauce with ground ginger and 1 tbsp water. Pour over the sausages and return to the oven for a further 5 mins or until sticky and golden.

Absolutely yummy, made them for a party we had earlier this year and they all went, I barely got a look-in so I'm doing them again for our Halloween party.

Being a vegetarian, I'm going to attempt these with some Quorn cocktail sausages, but not sure how well they will work..

I really enjoyed these BUT be careful how you serve them! I served the sausages and what ever was left in the pan i poured on top, however when they cooled all the fat congealed and it looked awful!

However when they were got they were really tasty and everyone enjoyed them. They were quick and easy to make. I would make them again but serve them with less of the "sauce"

Do you think this is something one could do in a slow cooker? That way it would stay warm for a party. Would there be too much grease? What about if you pre cooked them to render out some of the grease and then just put in the cooker with the sauce??

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Cooking it in a slow cooker should be fine although we haven't tested doing so. We think if you cooked them first then tossed them through the sauce and kept them warm in the slow cooker they would be fine.
