Method

  1. Spread the houmous between wraps. Coarsely grate carrots and scatter on top of the houmous, finishing each wrap with a small handful rocket leaves and some seasoning. Roll up and eat.

I added toasted sesame seeds to the grated carrot and also avocado and tomatoes. Delicious and simple!

I'm still undecided if i like Houmous, really didn't enjoy this, If i HAD to eat it i would add more veg, i just found the houmous overpowering. That might just be me though.

Is houmous not full of fat?

Not so much, as long as you don't get store-bought and don't eat two tubs! I highly recommend making it yourself, it's super easy to do and you can control what you put in it — you don't even have to add olive oil, it mainly enhance the taste and you can save the juice from chickpea cans to make the houmous a bit smoother.
Add a bit of coriander and extra lemon in it, and it should be perfect with this recipe!

I made this with the original recipe, but liked it much more with a lemon-coriander hummous

Found slightly bland when made first so tried again using flavoured hummous and added some chicken, pickled beetroot and spring onions. So easy to take to work and the wrap doesn't go soggy even if made the night before.
