  • 3 eggs
  • 150g SR flour
  • 100ml walnut oil / olive oil
  • 125ml milk
  • 100g grated cheese

150g roquefort, chopped

  • 50g walnuts, chopped
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 pinches black pepper

    Method

    • step 1

      Preheat oven to 180C - Gas 6
    • step 2

      Beat together eggs, flour
    • step 3

      Incorporate oil and milk a little at a time
    • step 4

      Add Roquefort, walnut and grated cheese.
    • step 5

      Season with salt and pepper, be aware Roquefort is a salty cheese.
    • step 6

      Put in loaf tin - no need to grease if non-stick
    • step 7

      Bake 45 minutes
    • step 8

      Serve sliced

    Pech-Luna

    Roquefort is a very tasty blue cheese from France. Along with the bacon lardons it add most of the flavour to the cake, which is often served in France as an aperitif. Nice with a salad for lunch.

    I tried that the other day, it turn out to be quite bland. According to the wikipedia article it is a type of cheese, is that why they taste bland?
