What should I do if I’ve forgotten or don’t have access to the email address associated with my account?

If you have multiple email addresses and cannot remember which one is associated with your My Good Food account, we recommend you trigger a ‘reset password’ email, starting with the most likely email address you signed up with.

You can do this here by entering your email address and clicking the ‘reset password’ option. If that email address is associated with a My Good Food account, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

If you no longer have access to the email account you’ve signed up to My Good Food with, but you do remember your My Good Food password, you can still use these details to log in to My Good Food. We would highly recommend you then go to your settings and update your email address.

If you cannot remember your email address or password for your My Good Food account you may need to create a new account. For data protection reasons we cannot provide email addresses based on passwords or usernames. There may be cases where we can help retrieve saved recipes and/or collections, so if you would like to explore these options please email us at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk.

What should I do if I’ve forgotten the password for my account?

As long as you know your email address you can reset your password yourself on bbcgoodfood.com. Go to your account and select 'Change password'. You will then be sent an email with a link to reset your password.

How to change password in My Good Food

If you have any issues when following the above steps please email us at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk.

Why can’t I sign in with my username any more?

We have updated the way you log in to My Good Food and, as a result, logging in with a username is no longer supported. You can however still choose a screen name to be displayed when you leave a comment, tip or question across the site. View and/or update yours in your account settings.

Why can’t I see all my saved recipes and/or collections?

We’ve taken great care to bring all My Good Food accounts across with all your saved recipes and collections. However, if you think there is something missing from your account, please get in touch with us at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk and we will do our best to help.

Please note: Temporarily you will see a holding image as the cover of your recipe collections rather than a recipe image, but this will only be for a short while.

Why can’t I upload my own recipe?

This feature is only temporarily unavailable and we’re working to get it back to My Good Food accounts as soon as possible. Please do save your recipes to share with us and the community, as we love seeing them! In the meantime, if you want to inspire others with your foodie creations, please join thousands of other BBC Good Food users on our BBC Good Food Together Facebook Group.

Why can’t I search my saved recipes any more?

This feature is only temporarily unavailable and we’re working to get it back to My Good Food accounts as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes you. Hopefully you’ll rediscover an old favourite when browsing through all your saved recipes.

Why can’t I upload my own avatar?

This feature is only temporarily unavailable and we’re working to get it back to My Good Food accounts as soon as possible. Any avatars uploaded prior to the changes should still show in your account. Please let us know if this is not the case at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk.

What has changed on bbcgoodfood.com?

Why does bbcgoodfood.com look different?

bbcgoodfood.com looks a little different as we have moved platforms to help us bring you new features, faster. We’ve kept the layout of many pages the same (e.g.recipe pages), so you’ll still easily find all the information you need to cook your old (and new) favourites. If there is anything you can’t find, or you want to share any feedback on the look and feel of the site, please email us at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk.

Where are the site search filters?

You should still be able to find all the recipe inspiration you need within our site search, but you may notice it looks a little different. You can now access the search filters and sort by functions at the top of the page on both desktop and mobile devices.

Filters and sort by options

As before, you can use the tabs at the top of the search screen to look at recipes, articles, videos and other content types.

Content tabs

If you have any comments on the search functions of the site, please let us know at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk.

What is different about comments, questions and tips?

All comments, questions and tips across the site are still in place, and you may notice there are even more opportunities to interact with us on pages where you couldn’t before. Aside from aesthetics, the only change we’ve made is to bring all comments, questions and tips into one view rather than having them in separate tabs, so that everything is more accessible.

How has the site navigation changed?

We have updated our site navigation to reflect the key areas you have told us you’re interested in, for example Recipes, Health and Family. We think the site should now be easier for you to navigate, but if there is something you cannot find, please email us at goodfoodwebsite@immediate.co.uk.
