Moist Peanut Butter Toast, with a twist of margarine

  • 1 Tub of Peanut Butter
  • 1 Tub of Margarine
  • 2 Slices of White Bread
  • 1 Toaster


    1. Pop the bread into the toaster.
    2. Once the toast is crispy golden, remove from the toaster, and immediately spread the margarine on whilst still piping hot.
    3. Evenly spread the peanut butter on top of the toast.
    4. Serve.

I would suggest replacing margarine with butter as surely no-one has margarine anymore.

i don't know how you've managed to make peanut butter on toast look so unappetizing but i enjoyed some of the comments!

This is easily the best recipe on goodfood. Quite tricky but after a few attempts I think I've finally got the hang of it. It's now a staple in our house, thank you.

I would like to try this recipe, but am worried, as it seems a tad complicated. On the plus side, who said peanut butter is savoury? I always add jam with peanut butter - yum!!

Try this one - skip the butter, then put golden syrup on top of the peanut butter. Makes it less 'pappy' and tastes rather yummy :0)

Can I suggest making a large pile of these, covering the exterior will peanut butter, then putting a bride and groom cake topper on the top?

Dont like peanut butter so opted for Marmite instead, it was as rockin as Arthur Fowler after he nicked the xmas club money.

Hmm, this was nice but the toaster was a bit difficult to chew!
