Serves 1 - 8 Squares

Minimal effort, and not over-poweringly sweet. A classic.

  • 1. 9 Marshmallows
  • 2. 30g Butter
  • 3. 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 4. 125g Coco Pops (or Rice Crispies)


    1. Melt the Butter in a saucepan.
    2. Add the Marshmallows and cook over a low heat until melted.
    3. Remove from the heat before stirring in the Vanilla, and the Coco Pops.
    4. Using a moist spoon, press the mixture into a greased square pan or tub.
    5. Leave to set for 30 minutes and cut into 8 pieces.

These are great. I drizzled them with melted dark chocolate and they tasted amazing. I put a few extra marshmallows in too. I will certainly be making some more soon!

Added probably another 5 marshmellows...otherwise changed nothing. My boys keep asking me to make it again and again and again! It's scrumptious! KiwiBex

to answer helen michelles question, use honey or dulce du leche (caramel sauce with a nutella like consistency) for a good replacement for marshmallows

hi guys, here in greece where i live it's quiet hard to find marshmellows, what eles could i use???
