Antonio’s Iced Coffee

Grind beans to make 2ltrs of coffee or use strong instant. Have a 2ltr empty coke bottle ready. Once coffee is made pour approx 1.6ltr into bottle top up with 350 - 400ml tub of double cream. Screw cap on shake until mixed. Let cool. Put in fridge, until ready to serve, when cold, shake well. Add ice cubes and coffee, ( if required) add honey, sugar or maple syrup to grinder, processor, or mixer, grind not to much. Hey presto the best iced coffee ever. Or just pour over ice add sweetener stir delicious. Float double cream or spray cream on top a couple of coffee beans, done!

Ingredients

  • Coffee beans or good instant coffee enough for 2 ltrs of coffee
  • Double cream or elmlea 1 large tub 350 to 400ml
  • Ice cubes
  • Sugar, maple syrup or honey
  • 4 large glasses, spray cream, double cream, coffee beans

Method

  1. Grind enough coffee or use good quality instant coffee and make 2 litres, make it strong.

  2. Pour coffee into 2 lt coke bottle, fill to 1.6ltrs

  3. Add large tub of double cream and shake till mixed. Allow to cool put in fridge. When ready to serve add coffee mixture sugar, maple syrup or honey to taste to food mixer, processor with ice (amount of ice entirely up to taste) Or pour in glass over ice. Pour layer of cream on top or spray, float a few coffee beans on top. Hey presto. Best iced coffee ever.
