Ingredients

  • 300 g plain chocolate
  • 75 g butter
  • 75 g brown sugar
  • 40 plain flour
  • 5 eggs
  • zest of an orange
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur or orange juice

Method

  1. Butter 6 pudding moulds and pre-heat the oven to 200C.

  2. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water or in a microwave.

  3. Put the flour, sugar, eggs and butter in a bowl and beat together to form a smooth mixture. Beat in the zest and liqueur if using.

  4. Divide the mixture between the moulds and bake for 9 - 11 minutes. Turn out and serve with cream or ice cream.

  5. This recipe can be made in advance and kept in the fridge unbaked. Bake from the fridge for a couple of minutes longer than stated.
