Learn about our affiliate partnership with Skimlinks, which you'll see across our review, taste test and gifting content.

What is Skimlinks?

Skimlinks is a commerce content monetisation platform that provides affiliate shopping solutions for premium publishers in the online sector. BBC Good Food uses Skimlinks to take a small commission from purchases made via our shopping pages. Any revenue is plunged straight back into creating more free content for our users.

How does it work?

Skimlinks works by aggregating over 65 affiliate networks and over 27,000 affiliate programmes to connect a publisher, such as BBC Good Food, with a retailer. It turns existing retailer links on BBC Good Food into their equivalent affiliate links. When a user clicks on such a link, a cookie is enabled to associate any purchase back to the publisher.

How do I buy the products online?

If you decide to purchase a product that's been recommended on our review or gift pages, you are able to do so by clicking through to your desired retailer to make a purchase on their website. When you do this, a new window will open and you will be taken to a third party site completely separate to BBC Good Food. No purchase will be made directly on the BBC Good Food website.

Is BBC Good Food writing reviews based on Skimlinks products?

Absolutely not. Skimlinks is an affiliate partnership with Immediate Media and in no way influences BBC Good Food editorial content. Products reviewed are chosen first-hand and solely by the BBC Good Food team, and will feature regardless of whether or not Skimlinks is able to generate commission from a retailer link.

Skimlinks is an affiliate partner of Immediate Media. If a third party retailer is included in the Skimlinks affiliate network, any purchase made as a result of a user clicking through to a third-party retailer's website hosted on will result in Immediate Media receiving a percentage of the revenue.
