If a well-made, multi-functional and stylish barbecue is what you are after then, the Napolean Pro 22K Cart fits the bill. The assembly is straightfoward, taking 45 minutes, which for so many components was surprisingly quick and required few tools.
The super-sized 52cm cooking area of three-sectioned, wave-shaped cast iron grills are great for searing as well as general grilling. And, as the sections are hinged, we loved how easy it was to add more coals.

Cooking a variety of foods is easy with three easy twist and lift grill heights to move the food closer or further away from the coals. The top and lower vents control airflow and there’s an easy-to-read thermometer in the lid to closely monitor temperatures.
The results were impressive with everything evenly cooked through. As the grills are cast iron, they need a light oiling, or food may stick as we found out in our first test.
A clever design feature, which made this a favourite, are the two charcoals burners for direct and indirect cooking. This vastly expands its functionality so it can be used for roasting and smoking, too.
The kettle sits in a robust cart with a folding shelf, sturdy wheels and locking system. With a removable ash can, cleaning is easy. The lid was a little wobbly, otherwise it is hard to find fault with this barbecue.
