Serves 1 - 24 Bars

A fabulous snack for anyone, it tastes great!!!

  • 9oz Margarine
  • 12oz rolled oats
  • 6oz Demerara sugar
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup


    1. Melt the margarine and syrup
    2. Add sugar to mixture until it is all melted
    3. Take the saucepan off the heat
    4. Stir in the oats
    5. Put them in a non stick baking tin/ grease proof paper - 10 inches by 12 inches
    6. Put the mixture in the tin - spread it evenly
    7. Set oven to Gas mark 5 and put in the mixture for 20 minutes
    8. Take them out and cut it into 24 bars while it is hot
    9. Leave to cool in tin
    10. Take it out the tin and eat!!!
