  • 4 boneless, skinless salmon fillets, about 550g/1lb 4oz in total, cut into chunks

  • half large or 1 small cucumber
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp golden caster sugar

Method

  1. Tip the salmon into a food processor with the paste, ginger, soy and chopped coriander. Pulse until roughly minced. Tip out the mix and shape into 4 burgers. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan, then fry the burgers for 4-5 mins on each side, turning until crisp and cooked through.

  2. Meanwhile, use a swivel peeler to peel strips of carrot and cucumber into a bowl. Toss with the vinegar and sugar until the sugar has dissolved, then toss through the coriander leaves. Divide the salad between 4 plates. Serve with the burgers and rice.

Bland and dry - the flavours were alright, but both me and my boyfriend agreed that we'd never eat this one again. Simple, though.

These burgers were delicious, great combination of flavours! Agree with others, they are a sloppy consistency like they're going to fall apart as soon as they're in the pan but held their shape well!

I am just about to make this for the second time. They are amazing! I made them with sticky rice, I do have to say that it would be better with 2 of the burgers as 1 wasn't quite enough for a filling meal. But really great, I'm just going to double the recipe! Thank you!

Burgers are light, tasty and very easy to make, so is the salad. Served the burgers with soured cream and french fries.
