I am a mega porridge consumer. I tried this combination out last week and found that it is one of the loveliest yet.

Ingredients

  • 40g porridge oats
  • 200ml milk-( try soya milk which is lovely as it tastes sweeter and more creamy)
  • tsp golden syrup
  • Handful of blueberries
  • dollop of creme fraiche

Method

    1. Make the porridge by gently heating the milk and oats together in a saucepan. Keep stirring until thickened to the desirable consistency (I say the thicker the better!)
    2. Place a teaspoon or so of golden syrup into the bottom of your serving bowl. When the porridge is ready tip this on top-that way you get a surprise of a melted molten pool of golden syrup at the bottom, delish!
    3. Place a dollop of creme fraiche on top before scattering over the blueberries.
    4. Dig in and enjoy!
