Garlic, sausage, tomato and veg pasta

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 70g cocktail sausages
  • 120g dried pasta shapes


    1. Gather all ingredients and equiptment
    2. Finely chop the onion
    3. Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan then add the onion
    4. Add the can of tomatoes, tomato and garlic puree, sugar and sausage
    5. Stir and add the vegetables and seasoning
    6. Simmer gently uncovered for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
    7. While sauce is simmering, add pasta to boiling water and cook for 10-12 minutes until soft
    8. Drain pasta in collander and rinse with cold water
    9. Add the sauce to the pasta, mix thouroughly and serve with fresh basil
