Method

  1. To cook the veg, boil the potatoes in salted water for about 10 minutes until almost tender but not breaking up. Tip in the frozen peas and simmer for another 2- 3 minutes. Drain well then tip into a mixing bowl. Turn on the grill to high.

  2. Drain the salmon and flake it into chunks, then gently toss with the potatoes and peas. Season to taste with salt and pepper and spoon into a flameproof dish.

We really really enjoyed this dish. I adapted it to suit an adult and 2 little girls. I used 2 salmon fillets as i had no tinned in and added sweetcorn for extra veg, i imagine mushrooms would be a delicious addition! Reduced the potatoes to 400g, the creme fraiche to 150ml as i didn't need to serve 4.

easy and very tasty but impressive. I have made this many times from the take 5 ingredients booklet and it never fails. Have been asked for the recipe so looked it up to print out.

Really nice and easy. I don't like tinned salmon so I used fillets and pan fried them in butter first, then added them to the recipie. I also don't like overcooked peas so I served them on the side. It was delicious. A good one for those of us with children who don't like exotic tastes.
