Easy scone recipe for the kids to try

  • 225g self raising flour
  • 50g butter
  • 100 ml milk


    1. Put the flour in a bowl and add the butter, cut into pieces
    2. Rub the butter into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs
    3. Add enough milk to make a soft dough
    4. Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface until 1-1.5 cm thick
    5. Cut the scones and place on a baking tray
    6. Bake at 200°, gas mark 6, 180°(fan oven) for 10-15 minutes until golden brown
