A sweet gooey treat with a grown up twist

  • 125g butter
  • 100g Brown sugar
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g sultanas
  • 2 tbs brandy
  • 225g self raising flour
  • Pinch of salt


    1. Pre heat oven to gas mark 4 (180°)
    2. Mix & cream butter, caster & Brown sugar, until a smooth paste
    3. Once smooth mix then add the lightly beaten egg and vanilla extract
    4. In stages adds the flour and salt until smooth, then add sultanas & brandy mix together until absorbed
    5. Then pop the mixture into bun cases, put into oven for around 15 minutes then leave to cool. The buns should be gooey and crispy on the outside
