  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 100ml white wine
  • squeeze lemon juice
  • small handful flatleaf parsley, roughly chopped

Method

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pan of boiling, salted water according to pack instructions. Meanwhile, heat a small knob of the butter in a frying pan. When it starts to sizzle, add the prawns and fry for 1 min until they start to change colour. Add the garlic and sizzle for 1 min more, splash in the wine, then bring to the boil. Swirl in the rest of the butter, season with salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice, then stir in the chopped parsley.

  2. When the pasta is just cooked, drain and toss through the prawns. Divide the pasta between 2 bowls, pour over any excess sauce and serve straightaway.

Bloomin delicious and SO quick and easy - a regular on our weeknight menu. I double the garlic, bulk up the pasta with courgette to make it go further and use dried parsley.

This really is a 5 star recipe. It's the second time I've cooked it in a week because it is so delicious, quick and completely fool proof. After adding the garlic I also added some chilli to give it an extra kick and the result was amazing. Empty plates all round!

Really simple and really delicious. As others have suggested, I added some chilli flakes, extra garlic, and roasted cherry tomatoes, and served it on a bed of rocket

This meal is so tasty considering how easy it is to create. I actually used Dry Rose wine with some tomato puree. I imagine it will become a regular occurrence in my kitchen from now on.

This was much nicer than I anticipated. Used all the ingredients suggested except I used dried parsley which tasted just as good. Also added a teaspoon of very lazy chili because I'm kinda lazy and that gave it a good kick. I imagine if the chili and lemon was left out, this may have been a tad on the bland side. Very pleased to have found this recipe : )

It was the day before shopping and I'd run out of lemons, white wine and even vermouth so I tried limes and gin. Delicious. Looking forward to the original recipe next time.

I used red pesto instead of 25g of butter and didn't add the lemon, but I added some Tabasco and capers. It was fab!

Made this with a few adaptations - I added red pesto to the wine and garlic (2 cloves) then let it reduce slightly. Using the pesto meant I didn't have to use the 25g of butter. Once reduced I added the prawns to cook for a minute or two, then added freshly chopped parsley and maybe 5-10 drops of Tabasco sauce before adding the pasta and mixing through. I didn't add the lemon, but with the red pesto and the Tabasco it didn't miss it. I think next time I will try it with mussels, prawns and salmon for a seafood pasta dish! Could have easily ate another bowl full it was that delicious!

Great recipe and is easy. The kids love it but may I recommend adding some single cream and simmering off to reduce.....not as healthy but so tasty.
