Method

  1. Mix the steak, soy sauce, sugar, chilli sauce and vinegar together, and set aside for 10 mins.

  2. Heat a wok with 1 tsp of the oil. Lift the steak from the marinade and sear, in batches, then remove. Add a bit more oil and fry the ginger until golden. Add the spring onions and pineapple, and return the steak to the pan. Stir to heat through for 1 min, then add any remaining marinade. Keep stirring until the marinade becomes thick and everything is hot. Serve sprinkled with coriander, and with rice and greens, if you like.

Excellent ! Used canned pineapple and skipped the rice wine vinegar and it was LOVELY.

Lovely - next time I would add more ginger, slightly less pineapple (which I would cut into slightly smaller pieces).

Not made this yet but hope to because it looks great. Questions - does it matter if you use red or white rice wine vinegar? Do you mean sweet chilli sauce?

Very easy, but really tasty. I didn't have chilli sauce so I added a chopped chilli instead, and I also added some french beans. I shall definitely make this again!

this recipe sounds nice but are the amount of calories listed just for the beef and pineapple part of the stir fry or does it include the rice and additional veggies? because if it does include the rice and veg it is very healthy
