  1. Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and line a 24 x 20cm brownie tin with baking parchment. Put the butter, dark chocolate and orange zest in a non-stick saucepan and very gently melt over a low heat, stirring every now and then, until smooth – take care not to overheat it. Cool.

  2. Whisk the eggs and sugar together with an electric whisk until the mixture is pale, has doubled in volume and leaves a trail when the beaters are lifted. Gently stir into the cooled chocolate mixture. Sift over the flour and cocoa, stir in, then add the orange chocolate.

  3. Pour into the lined tin and bake for 35-40 mins. Cool in the tin, then cut into squares.

Absolutely my favourite brownies - I'll make them for dinner parties, to make friends with new colleagues, to take along to family barbecues... any excuse! The perfect blend of a crust on top and soft and squishy inside, and any leftovers freeze really well too!

These are really nice, rich brownies. I used milk choc orange as I couldn't find a dark one and it was fine. I actually made them for valentines and did icing to go on them too - this isn't needed, they're easily tasty enough on their own and the orange flavor really comes through.

So tasty swapped the usual chocolate orange for Lindt orange with almond as made for Christmas treats... gave a slightly more indulgent taste

I made these twice at the end of 2016 -once for a Christmas dinner where everyone brought an item and again for New Year away in a cottage with friends - went down excellently both times. A good tip is not to go over 100g flour so they are as soft as possible and also, you can't add enough chocolate chunks at the end - the more, the better! Enjoy.

Wow! These really are amazing - so squidy in the middle. Amazing tasting. Not overwhelming with orange but gorgeous. Will make again!! I cooked for 32 mins and left to cool in tin, was perfect

Oh my goodness, these Brownies are A.MAZ.ING! How could anyone not fall in love with these? I found that 35 minutes was a tiny bit too long for them, they weren't quite as gooey as I like. Best Brownies Ever!

Served as a dessert with creme fraiche and orange segments Resep masakan. The brownies were moist and gooey in the centre and crunchy on top with a subtle orange tang and sumptuous chunks of bittersweet, semi-melted chocolate. Jasa Halaman 1 Google Heaven!!

First time I've ever made brownies and this simple recipe delivered. Great texture and flavour. I found 35 mins was enough, maybe even slightly too long. Depends on your oven though I suppose. Thanks!

This recipe is super scrummy! I did the recipe plus a quarter to make extra and I also used 4 teaspoons of orange extract instead of orange zest and orange chocolate. It worked very well and the flavour was delicious. I found after 40 minutes (recommended time) the mixture was still runny in the middle but you must take it out as it carries on cooking once out! Enjoy! They're addictive!

WAOW what a treat! Never in my 32 years of baking brownies have I been so lucky as to find a recipe like this. As the song goes from chitty chitty bang bang, they are "truly scrumptious!!!!!" As a master of brownie baking I've tasted and tried manys-a brownies but boys-a-dear, these little treats are top of the scale!-they'd give even Mary Berry a run for her money!! From their crispy top coat to their gorgeously gooey inside these little babes will go down a treat at any occasion! Anyone know how long these keep. Plus when I add the chocolate orange at the end of recipe is this also stirred in or left on top. Thanks
