  1. Put the chicken, ginger, garlic, chilli powder, coriander, lime juice and 1 tbsp of oil in a bowl. Stir, and set aside. Chop the onion, and seed and chop the chilli.

  2. Heat a large shallow pan. Tip in the chicken and marinade and fry for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in a pan and fry the onion and chilli for 3-4 minutes until just soft. Add the turmeric and stir fry for 1 minute. Lower the heat, pour in the cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add the chicken and simmer for 5 minutes, or until cooked. Season and stir in the lemon juice. Serve with rice and naan bread.

Easy to make and the lemon juice cuts nicely through the cream. I will be making this again

It was ok, but not really special. Compared to gordon ramsay's chicken curry or his goat curry, this is rather bland. Easy and quick though

This was pretty good. I loved the creaminess of the sauce. It was spicy, but not too hot. I had to add salt at the end as the taste was good, but a bit bland. Much better than curry from a jar!

This is now an established family favourite. I use half fat creme fraiche instead of double cream.

Quite tasty even though there are not many ingredients.

I changed the amounts a little for this recipe. I doubled the amount of garlic, coriander and ginger, used 1 tbsp of turmeric and 1 tbsp of HOT chilli powder, and only used 150ml of double cream. I didn't add the lemon in and just served with wedges of lemon instead so people could add if they wanted. It was absolutely delicious. Plenty of flavour and just enough of a kick so that it appealed to adults but wasn't too much for children? My 7 year old declared me "the best cooker ever!" and had seconds.

This is a family favourite! my 2 year old loves it! its tasty but not too spicy and easy to make. I like the person above use coconut cream to make mine and it tastes yummy! Really good for when friends come over as fresh and vibrant but not over powering. Yum!

This is a fab recipe, lots of flavours. It has been a big hit and I will definately make it again. It is really simple to make and can all be prepared in advance which is great. I made it with coconut milk as we didnt have any cream, and it worked well. This would be an excellent recipe to make if you had friends coming round as it is simple and not time consuming! Highly recommended!

This was incredibly tasty. Me and my boyfriend love cooking together and this is one of the best recipes we've tried. I may have added a little bit too much chilli powder as it was pretty hot though so be careful if, like us, you can't handle too much spice.
