  • 100g flour
  • 50g butter
  • 50g demarara sugar


    1. Rub the fat to the flour, add sugar, spread over the fruit. Remember to add 75g granulated sugar to the fruit.
    2. this recipe covers 100g fruit.

Personally from my experience this no where near covers the fruit base of a 8 by 5 inch dish. My recommendation is double up on these ingredients and you should be ok.

I didn't realise just how simple it is to make your own crumble, i've got some fruit left over that needs using up I'm gonna make one!!

Does this go in the oven? I've never made a crumble that doesn't go in the oven.

Yes it does, gas 5/170 for about 35/40 minutes check though beforehand, I have cooked microwave, not bad that way too.
